Jonathan Smith buyout $7 million

UW can’t afford it

UW won’t afford it. They care about academis, not football. They got UW to the national title game and they figure that will satisfy fans for the next decade. It probably will too, for the casual fucking loser Seattle fan.

That's hysterically small all things considered. We could pay that and still have $5m left from the buyout that Bama owes us.

But we won't

Smith is perfect for the small time program UW wants to be

If they were going to pay 9 or 10 to DeBoer then they can get a REAL coach

We all know they won't

Live look at the UW Upper Campus knowing football is dead again

They were paying that to him

They aren’t gonna open the wallet a second time

Are we SURE they made the offer? I'm not

If you made it once you'd do it again

The issue isn't even what we can afford at this point. The issue is who the hell will take the job on January 12.

We already saw how Alabama nearly ended up having to hire fucking Tommy Rees after Saban left so late.

Another shoe to drop is Meatchicken when Harbaugh does what Harbaugh does…we may be lucky to get Grubb, if he is even in play at this point.

Only 7M?

If you’re UW you do that TODAY.

You're assuming that 1. UW can outbid Michigan State 2. Even if UW can outbid Michigan State, Smith will come here at this point.

Michigan State is making full Big Ten shares. And they totally exploded coaching salaries (which had previously been increasing at a somewhat less quick pace) by paying $10 million to fucking Mel Tucker of all coaches.

But even if UW somehow outbids MSU, I'm skeptical that he'd leave in mid-January.
