Jonah Coleman drafted by Denver

Prysock and Taco were also chosen,

Careful, Derek. There is a certain poaster out there that thinks UW made an opportunity cost error by paying Jonah, and others, although he/she knows so little about sports that he/she could not say who would have been a better fit for UW for the money spent. At least the uninformed poaster knows the general meaning of the economic terms that he has absolutely no understanding of.

Carver Willis drafted as well. Not a bad haul by the Huskies. Judd brought in 4 out of 5 taken. Not sure they can win the big games but I think it’s pretty clear this staff develops talent. 10 wins in year 3 or GTFO

Fuck off Jonah.

What is this and who are you talking about? I don't think there's any way to argue paying Coleman what they did in 2025 was a good payout for UW. Him getting taken in the fourth round has has nothing to do with anything. Is it a positive for the program? Sure, but it's not that big of a deal.

Nuance needs to get his reads down. Also, did Damone already get banned and come back?

We had 7 guys drafted. There won’t be close to that next draft. 7-5 incoming.
I've said since going into the 2025 that the hype for 2026 over 2025 was a bit flawed because UW had more high end and experienced proven players in 2025 than they likely will in 2026. I'm more optimistic than I was but it's certainly a question. There's not a surefire draft pick I see thought there are more than half a dozen guys I think have a good shot in order of confidence.

1. Elinneus Davis - if he declared, he's the only guy I've seen in early 2027 mocks and databases.
2. Alex McLaughlin - feels like a guy who couldn't go earlier than day 3 but should definitely be a guy who gets drafted given his tape.
3. Xe'ree Alexander - similar to McLaughlin with maybe a higher ceiling and lower floor.
4. Demond - Don't really know what to do with him but assume he's a guy who would be a late day 3 guy even if he just is the same guy as he was in 2025 and leaves early.
5. Drew Azzopardi - Big three year starter. Should be a shoe in if he improves again in 2026.
6. Landen Hatchett - Another three year starter. Questionable though as not many true centers get drafted and he's never super impressed and been injured a lot.
7. Jacob Lane - Kind of JAGy but has been good against the run and is a big body. Could play his way up as well.
8. Manu - Feels like a guy good enough to get drafted but he's also 5'9 so maybe unlikely.

Washington lost their entire team and still went 6-6 and Jedd basically flipped a coin in the bowl game.

Lines that just got absolutely flattened did that.

The probably of losing all of WSU/Rutgers/Louisville was very, very small even if you think Jedd is a shit coach.

College football in 2026 is a lot about your ability to adjust on the fly year to year now so I have confidence Judd and co will figure out replacing the proven studs they had. My main concern and frustration is I think they wasted a favorable schedule this year which could have led to an inflated record. Don't lose to a Wisconsin team that didn't have a single guy drafted or a Michigan one that didn't have a single skill position guy selected. Then don't lose at home to a team by 12 in a game where you almost double them in yards per-carry.

and I'm looking forward to seeing the vibe of the team now that Arizona transfer guys aren't leading the way.

And should have gone 8-4 that year.

I’m sure I’ll get ripped for this, but Judd knew what to do with a Will Rogers type at QB versus Demond.

I agree that he's been better with a more traditional/limited QB.
