John Schneider wins NFL Executive of the Year Award

He deserved it, big time.

Prior to firing Carroll, I thought that both he and Carroll needed to go because of how bad their drafts had been for several years running. Since Carroll's been gone, though, Schneider has been knocking it out of the park in the draft and he hired a great coach.

Quite honestly, as a never-been-a-Seahawks fan, this year's team is, to me, a much more enjoyable team to watch than any of the Carroll years. Carroll was annoying, Wilson was a phony cornball, and guys like Sherman and Bennett were completely detestable unless you were a diehard Seahawks fan.

I think the outcome of getting rid of Carroll is realizing that many of the retarded moves the team made were heavily influenced by Carroll. Sure, Schneider's made some bonehead moves, but there is too much evidence right now to say that Carroll didn't swing a stupid stick when it came to personnel matters.

I thought from 2012-2015 the team was great and enjoyable.

Agree about Sherman and Bennett. I can’t stand Sherman now and he’s a terrible talking head. Bennett is a little better in retirement and pushed back a little on Sherman’s hatred of Russell Wilson.
