John Schneider on the millionaire tax

Stupidity knows no bounds… wealthy people can afford to live wherever they want and giving them a good reason to move and take their capital and tax money with them is pure genius. I know, breathlessly speaking the obvious but sometimes i just cant get over how dumb and righteously stupid the legislators and their political advisors continue to be. This is definitely a pee into the wind move which somehow must seem deeply satisfying to jealous self righteous playground wimps

It's not going to help. Not to be one who thinks this is no big deal, because it is, but the players are already paying taxes on income earned in other states when they play road games. The Super Bowl win costing Darnold $75,000 will live in infamy.

I don't know how WA plans to handle income earned outside of WA by WA residents, but it's possible that Seahawks players are going to be double-taxed on road game income.

But you know what? I don't give a fuck about any of those players having to pay more because one can easily surmise that 90% of them voted Democrat.

I hear ya but this directly impacts the team's success.
NO MORE than any team in ANY STATE currently with an income tax. Don't more states have one (tax on income) than don't? Besides, if they don't have an income tax other taxes (like real property taxes) are MUCH higher. This is econ 101 shit.

Now we have both taxes. Competitive advantage lost. Econ 102.

You lost your competitive advantage to most states and are now at a disadvantage to a few. Why wouldn’t you want a competitive advantage?

That answer was not much better. Just like your ridiculously undersubstantiated take on NIL spending you do understand economic terms but not how to use them in context.

Which teams? California teams? Or less taxed states like North and South Dakota, Montana, Idaho or Alaska ? Actual thinking minds want to know.

lol. You’ve lost competitive advantage with everyone but TN, NV, TX and Florida. And now you are at a disadvantage to those. So you’ve lost ground to every state. This isn’t hard to understand, maybe it is for you though.

How does this new income tax going to work? I'm not familiar with how it works, because I don't live in Washington anymore.
It should always just have a moving target for maybe the top 1% or 5% of income earners, not just a certain $ amount, because then everyone will inevitably pay this 30-40 years into the future, which is just dumb.
I loved Washington and Nevada because of no state income tax.

I would prefer a national sales tax and the elimination of all income taxes, because the richest just borrow everything they spend and write off everything as a business expense as it is. A nation-wide sales tax would eliminate the loopholes.
