I have to admit he is probably one of the funnest players I have ever seen on the offensive side of the ball. I kind of like the philosophy Peterman/Smith are implementing with him by limiting his touches. Make teams forget he is playing then all of a sudden "oh fuck!!".

It is at least much more effective than Sark forcing obvious bubble screens to him for 3 yard gains all game. He should probably get a couple more touches... But Peternorth has a lot more time (2 and a half seasons) to optimize him.

Not sure it's an actual strategy, but rather the side effect of Miley usually not seeing more than one read. Cyler did play his best game of the year so far, but he still has a ways to go.
 
I agree. Sark would get him 11-15 targets every game, mostly in no-win situations, and he'd get beat to shit. The way they're doing it is perfect.

Ross doesn't get that many snaps. The base set is normally Kasen, Campbell, and Mickens. Ross, Pettis, and Taylor rotate in. I saw a little bit of Lenius too.
 
Yes, he is fun to watch this season but as new fan I hold my breath when he has the ball in his hand. That play where he got mixed up with a couple of his OL guys had me scared to death.
