Firing your OC to hire an even worse OC is always special.

Maybe Jimmy is wanting to prove that defense can win championships. I don’t see any other reason other than stupidity for this hire.

There isn’t another choice and hopefully it somehow works out but it’s worse than anyone expected. A position coach from the NFL would have been okay.

We were just clowning the QB coach of the 49ers. This is a dud hire that if past results are anything, will be a huge failure.
 
How in the helll did he coach penn at to 20 and 23 pts/game in modern college football. This hire is so fucking retarded. If he had gone somewhere and reinvented himself having success as a position coach i would get it. But he didn’t.

Anyone think Adams will be the OC by the end of next year? FML

I was thinking of flying out for the Michigan game, now I will just go to my kids flag football game instead.

This. He was an assistant coach to a position that isn’t even important coaching wise. Nobody gives a fuck about RB’s and knows it’s probably the most “get by on talent” position in football. The main concept of RB is to run where they aren’t and get upfield.

If you guys never watched those teams it was a slow motion train wreck. The 2014 Penn State team allowed just 4.1 yards per play, SECOND IN THE NATION, and went 7-6. In four of their six losses they allowed 20 or fewer points in regulation.

Then in 2015 they had again a top ten defense and added Saquon frickn Barkley and went 7-6 again.

Franklin managed to go from up and coming hot young coach to nearly disgraced and on the hot seat and then intto consideration as an elite coach very quickly.
 
I've slept on it. This is honestly the worst hire Jimmy could have done. Failed retread that isn't even good enough to get a real job in the NFL. We just hired an NFL analyst who was fired from his previous job as Power 5 School OC for poor performance.

Just a fucking miserable job Jimmy. Go fuck yourself.

Phil Snow was the D Coordinator for UW in 2004. We hated him.

Phil Snow was the D Coordinator at Baylor in 2019. Baylor fans love him. The fucking Panthers want him to be their D Coordinator in the NFL.

Sometimes guys learn and improve over time.

Not saying I love the hire... but hey, maybe the guy has learned a thing or 2 over his tenure and is ready to take it to Montlake.
