If something is more expensive and does the same thing as something that is less expensive, then you are operating inefficiently and producing less and costing jobs. Electric vehicles are dirty, inefficient and much more expensive. This doesn't create jobs unless digging in the Congo by hand for cobalt is your thing. So, buying a GM EV with a chicom battery which replaces an internal combustion engine made in the US is not good for US workers, let alone US consumers and taxpayers. It is good for the chicoms who laugh as we send them US tax dollars in the form of US EV tax credits.
