Tryon is a talented guy who doesn’t have great football instincts. He was a first round pick so I don’t see the argument that it was a bad decision. It is what it is.
Yeah he got first round money and just signed for some more, all based on physical potential rather than performance. If he had stayed another year at UW odds are best that it would've cost him money.
Him and ZTF would have fucking trained that shitty division/conference in a normal year and both would be gone to the NFL and potentially early round picks. I'm sounding like a 20 something quook but nobody was stopping a ZTF, Levi, and Tryon plus our secondary in a year where there was just a bunch of okay teams. Remember 2020-21 was like the only period of the Pac 12 era where Oregon State and Washington State were still alive for the division on the last conference weekend of the season.
