So there is a difference between being an imminent threat and being a threat. Kent is just saying Iran isn't an imminent threat. This is a distinction (a separation) made in critical thinking. You have to develop some knack of getting beyond simple MAGA explanations for everything though. That's why in general I don't try to appeal to reasoning here.

According to the left and the US intelligence agencies radical Islam wasn't an imminent threat on 9/10/2001. Then it was.
