The end of that article seems to portray an old deficient politician who has lied so long that he almost does it as second nature now. As if he is in a political cocoon that no one can invade even if he lies continuously.

Spot on. I don't think he even knows that he's lying most of the time. He's full-o-shit so much that there is little to no distinction between his bull shit and any sense of objective truth. I know people like him. He's a terrible person and an abortion of a President.
