Here's the thing. The Duckade sucked. There's no getting around it. But it mostly sucked because UW football was terrible, not because we couldn't beat Oregon. Continuing to lose to Oregon was just a bi-product of a shit football program.

The losses themselves were not particularly painful because the vast majority were expected. Losing when you expect to lose is miserable. It's not especially memorable though.

The losses in 94, 95, 97 are 2000 were far more painful and far more memorable than anything experienced during the Duckade. Those games meant something to us.

The Duckade meant way more to you than it did us.

So yeah, there's not any serious lingering angst over the Duckade. Kenny Weaton and John Wales and Akili Smith and Joey Harrington can fuck off though.

I have no idea, and am not making any case whatsoever, but what if Crystalballs is actually a good coach? His only HC job was at probably one of the worst programs in the country, and he actually had two winning seasons there.

Pretty much an unknown quantity.

But Kelly or Saban ain't walking through that door, and we? kinda got fucked by timing and the most ridiculous coaching carousel in decades.

So maybe Pallicristi is gonna be a glorified interim. Or maybe we pull a rabbit out of the hat.
