I don’t think Taggart is going anywhere. But retweeting something is the easiest thing to do to fan the flames without having to answer something later on if he takes the job. It would take him about 1 minute to tweet out he plans on being at Oregon for a long time if there wasn’t a chance.

Plus Jimbo isn’t even official yet. Wouldn’t be a good look if Willie didn’t do something since he is out recruiting. If he did planned on leaving and lost his recruits then Jimbo didn’t leave he would be double fucked.
 
This kind of reminds me of the Rick deal, the last coach I remember having that anyone other than Pat Haden FS wanted. After worrying or not worrying depending on your thoughts every year he got fired for not winning enough. And still got another job

No - he didn't get fired for a pool or a interview with the Niners. He didn't win enough back when it still mattered.

Not saying Taggs is Rick so don't twist. Just wondering if in 4 years Duck fans will wonder why they cared
 
@Cuntwaffle and @RaceBannon 's poonts are well taken. UO AD leaked the new contract offer this afternoon, allegedly it was given to Lyles-Taggart this past weekend. WLT also spent some time chatting with the Knights during the PK adulatory basketball tournament and virgin rape/slaughter last weekend.

So, there's probably a lot of "behind the scenes" going on right now. But as an idiot fan with nothing but the Twatter to go on, I'm doing my Kremlinology as best I can

And yeah, we could really use the infusion of talent that WLT is looking to bring our way. You have no idea the damage that Helfrich did.

Also, WLT and Jimbo have the same agent... so maybe Sexton is trying to get rich(er)?

Year 2 Heart of Dallas Bowl. Never heard of it but sounds like it was in Texas so I’m sure the pipeline to The SW recruiting hotbed burst open after only 2 years in charge.

Year 3 Pac-12 champs in a down year, granted, but still, you can only play who’s in front of you. Lost bowl game.

Year 4 probably the Alamo Bowl. Double that up with the HOD bowl win and fuck me, why should we even bother playing the games?

As discussed before, Big Taggers came 2 years after the playoff.

Peterson is the one who’s one whole big large season removed from making the playoffs. Probably just needs his guys in there.

The Texas Pipeline Development Program seems to be humming along for you guys tho.

Yup we have our guy. The second winningest head coach in college football. 10 wins is a down season for us now. Everybody outside of Ohio State, Clemson, and Alabama would suck Petersen's dick if he would coach their team but like you said he's our guy.
