Kids today who think they are marching n Selma to stop the klan have no idea that once upon a time America was actually healing the race divide and Jesse played his part.

His rallies where he told the kids in the 70s that I AM SOMEBODY and talking about empowerment and being a victor not a victim were powerful messages

I worked on his 88 campaign because of that. He got hosed in Washington and elsewhere I assume because there is no way Dukakis was more popular unless the democrats were a bunch of racist. Hmm

Clinton came along and saw more votes in keeping people divided and Jackson just decided to join the grift and shake down corporations

When someone tells you race relations were better in the 80s that today you should listen and ask yourself why

RIP

Without a doubt race relations were better in the 80s. It’s too bad Jesse cashed in and begat the current wave of race baiting grifters.

People forget that racist nazi Trump provided office space for Jackson’s organization for years.

Jesse Jackson, Martin Luther King and the Republicans in 1964 as set out in the Civil Rights Act of 1964:

DISCRIMINATION BECAUSE OF RACE, COLOR, RELIGION, SEX, OR NATIONAL ORIGIN
SEC. 703. (a) It shall be an unlawful employment practice for an employer--

(1) to fail or refuse to hire or to discharge any individual, or otherwise to discriminate against any individual with respect to his compensation, terms, conditions, or privileges of employment, because of such individual's race, color, religion, sex, or national origin; or

(2) to limit, segregate, or classify his employees in any way which would deprive or tend to deprive any individual of employment opportunities or otherwise adversely affect his status as an employee, because of such individual's race, color, religion, sex, or national origin.

(b) It shall be an unlawful employment practice for an employment agency to fail or refuse to refer for employment, or otherwise to discriminate against, any individual because of his race, color, religion, sex, or national origin, or to classify or refer for employment any individual on the basis of his race, color, religion, sex, or national origin.
...
(j) Nothing contained in this title shall be interpreted to require any employer, employment agency, labor organization, or joint labor-management committee subject to this title to grant preferential treatment to any individual or to any group because of the race, color, religion, sex, or national origin of such individual or group on account of an imbalance which may exist with respect to the total number or percentage of persons of any race, color, religion, sex, or national origin employed by any employer, referred or classified for employment by any employment agency or labor organization, admitted to membership or classified by any labor organization, or admitted to, or employed in, any apprenticeship or other training program, in comparison with the total number or percentage of persons of such race, color, religion, sex, or national origin in any community, State, section, or other area, or in the available work force in any community, State, section, or other area.

Jesse Jackson and the Dems in 2026:

DEI or DIE.

Seems like Trump was pretty well liked within the black community until he became president and
Lowered black unemployment
Funded HBCUs at historic levels
Implemented criminal justice reform

Once he took care of those, the liberals decided he was extremely racist.

As for Jackson, he started out on the right path- I think he wanted to take the flame from MLK.

Trump is beloved in the black community.

It's the race grifters that hate him.

They gonna put you all back in chains

Moderate Joe Biden

It was only a homage to his best buddy Robert Byrd, who, if you can believe it or not after reconciling his white privilege and relinquishing his title of Grand Cyclops, had benevolently freed Corn Pop just weeks before he and Ol Joe squared off at the community pool back in the swinging 60s. Byrd wasn’t too fond of Ol Joe leading all of those civil rights marches with Jesse, Medgar, Dr. King, and Malcolm but what are ya gonna do….the history of the democrat party is a beautiful, albeit complicated tapestry when told on the campaign trail.
