Jedd Fisch and new state income tax

Sucks to be you then?

Again this has all been laid out pretty well but not for "Well-known" posters.
You're the one making the "one of the best states" claim. Typically the person making the claim is the one who has to defend / prove it.

I'll take your answer off the air. I'm sure it will include using the term "squirting eggs," some autistic coder chat, and faggy photos of Blazers games that NOC about. You need to start drinking again.

No.

The 9.9% is on income above $1 million. He will pay $643,500 in income taxes starting in 2029 based on his 2028 income.

He sure as shit better not be here in 2028 to earn income in WA State.
Do you pay taxes on taxes in WA?

I guarantee you he's not paying anywhere near that in state income taxes.

We could get into semantics and hawt accounting talk. Sure.

At face value, the Dems expect he will pay that much in tax.

Meanwhile the latest projections I've been given are about $8.5 billion in additional, annual tax revenue while $11 billion annually heads out the door as capital exits the state. So, yeah, this is going to be a complete shit show after the Democratic State Supreme Court does the mental gymnastics necessary to defeat any lawsuits filed against the tax.

I laughed. Deserves a chin.

Doesn't he live in Arizona anyway? ;) Seems like he also desperately would want to be in SoCal , which would be worse.

I'd actually be more concerned about NIL with players than Jedd who is a coach who already made generational wealth and who has a buyout and bullshit and worse case could still just get a good job. A player who is building up their wealth and might not know if they ever get a payday again who let's say gets a $4 million contract probably might consider getting to keep 400k of that or not, or a $1million guy with 100k.

Washington is still a great state in a lot of ways. It's simply all about weighing the pros and cons and options you have with where you live. Simple as that.
