2008: No chance at Obama being nominated. None. And even less on getting elected. No chance in hell.
Those situations aren't analogous at all. If you couldn't tell Obama was our next president early in 2007 you were just in denial. Jeb doesn't any of the same hype, charisma or demographic power that Obama did.
I do think Jeb has a shot in 2016, but it's nothing like the Obama situation.
Not one pundit thought Obama could beat the Clinton machine.
It is easy to look back now and say when the junior Senator from Illinois who had been in office for 2 years would coast to an easy win.
However, Hillary had been the front runner. It was the design of the primaries that allowed Obama to win.
You need to take a look at the way the GOP has structured the primaries to prevent the same drag on results we had in 2012.
