The Utah Jazz traded Patrick Beverley to the Los Angeles Lakers for Talen Horton-Tucker and Stanley Johnson on Wednesday night. Utah acquired Beverley from the Minnesota Timberwolves in the Rudy Gobert trade earlier this offseason.

“We are thrilled to add Patrick Beverley’s toughness and competitive spirit to our team,” Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka said in a team statement Thursday. “We’re confident that Patrick’s ‘3-and-D’ style will fit in nicely with the other pieces of our roster and align perfectly with Coach Ham’s philosophy of hard work and smart play.”

Lakers got fleeced giving up THT. Doubling down by going all-in with another old guy, old LeBron, lazy and always hurt AD, and overrated, old, and can't shoot Westbrick. They should've cut ties with LeBron after last season.

Westbrook is going to get the John Wall treatment. He'll sit on the bench all year or be traded.

There is no question. It’s brain dead for them to go into this season with optimism that this year will be so much different.

It’s pointless drivel. AD is made of glass and has been declining since he joined the Lakers, LeBron plays no defense, is mostly chasing stats and strong arms the team into getting as many Klutch players onto the roster, Westbrook is half the player he used to be as well as a terrible fit, and it’s a poor shooting team.

Maybe the can sneak into the playoffs to get swept by Golden State, Memphis, or Dallas/Phoenix.
