Jayden Wayne, 2023 5* DE/OLB, Tacoma (Lincoln), WA (Offered 8/10/20)

This kid is a 1st rounder if he comes here. There isn't a reason to leave.

A must get and his potential is huge, but his on field ability isn’t close to what his ranking is.

Well they turned tryon into first rounder and he was like a -2 stars from hazen?

If he comes here he has a good a chance as any to be a high draft pick.

I've never thought JTT was seriously considering Oregon. Still don't.

Don't feel the same about Wayne.

I remember my wanting to argue with Chuck phase when I thought he was wearing hip boots in his avatar, turns out I was wrong...whatever

What do you have against them?

Seriously though, I started in my business when lug sole, rubber hip boots were state of the art.

Thag sounds like a strange argument. Sure that was me?

Just to make sure Tommysqc gets his clicks worth, IL belabor the point...Hip boots are so 1970s. They never fit me right and I'm guaranteed to go over them within the first five minutes on the water.

Back when I started working in the water that was all we had. Stickingfoot waders were only a rumor and the boot foot, chest waders that guys who mostly stand or sit around would wear were a no go for long walks and floats.

I wore those clunky fuckers for a couole of years before we got our first stickingfoit waders. They were only hip high, non breathable, coated nylon made by Red Ball. They had a button loop that went over your belt or through a belt loop otherwise they'd just fall down around your ankles. They were so poorly made that they'd slide down and get bunched in your shoes and before long would be pulling down on your belt loop with every step and you'd have to stop and take your shoes off, dump the water, rung out your socks, and lace back up.

Speaking if shoes, we were still a couple if years away from the fancy wading boots with felt already glued to the soles. My first pair were a handed down pair of converse all stars with green shag carpet glued to the soles. The traction was actually damn good but the shoes fell apart within a week.

I had a pair of all leather, Danner hiking boots that I had bought half a size too big and ended up sacrificing them to the cause as my wading boots. They held up well for a solid year too. I glued some shah carpet ro them. It really works well...better than plain felt in my opinion.

In later years we graduated to stockingfoot neoprene and various wading shoes. We'd wear 3mm in the warmer weather and 5mm in colder.

Every strong program has a 17 year old kid who can buy beer for the other minors on the team. Must get.

Fuck man I have no idea where all that extra shit quoted came from. Doesn't even look like it's from the right thread.

Can't wait until we get to the "I just hope he goes to Ohio State and not Oregon" portion of his recruitment. LSU and USC will have hats on the table just to make sure there's some confounding choices to not be developed in the mix instead of UW.

LSU quietly is borderline the USC of the SEC the past 10 years outside of one lightning in a bottle year with Burrow.

Hip boot superiority guy. lol

Remember the Hodgman wader days? My gf just got me a pair of Simms, they fit perfect, however they come all the way up to my neck. Should be interesting
