I think a good DC job probably pays as much or more than the head job at Oregon State. Sheppard has never even been a coordinator so he made the right move for his career.

The raw raw stuff is why I think he won’t be a very good head coach. He’s never called plays.
There is no harm in him getting a couple of million to be the head guy, getting fired after a few years, and going back to being a WR coach in college or the NFL.
It's a great situation for him. He was at Reser in 2023.
