So I should probably get this looked at?

You need to call the world class UW Physicians. Actually that spot in the middle of Russia looks suspicious.

That's not how things have worked at my dermatologist. My mom died of melanoma when I was a kid, so I've had to go in once or twice a year pretty much my whole life. I always go in with a couple of moles in mind and tell the doc, "Yeah, so I've given this one a name and feed it twice per day…"
Doc: "Nah, that's fine. But holy crap look at this!…" [Points to microscopic freckle.] "Nurse, get me the big scalpel."

I knew a guy who had a spot on his back and got it checked. It was less than a millimeter from his liver when they took it out. They had to cut that shit out deep.
Doc told him if he had put it off for even a week it would likely have reached the liver, and at that point, you. are. fucked.
I guess the bitch of that kind of cancer is that (1) it's eminently treatable on the skin and (2) it's eminently deadly when it hits something on the interior and spreads.
