Jackson Stratton, 2022 3* QB, La Jolla (HS), CA (Committed)

Gotta admit I'm dooging pretty hard about this guy. Reading this made me watch his highlights again plus the other clips in the article. He's a fucking stud. I'm sure there are still valid but faggy expert critiques about how he has a long way to go because he isn't pointing his toes properly or he throws too many balls off his back foot and shit like that. Point is he's a big, mobile QB that can also throw and has the arm to make big time throws.

It's a steal to grab him up before his senior season. If he makes another leap anything like he did between his soph and junior years he'll end up getting chased by everyone.

This kid is good. If we’re taking lower rate guys i’m taking a kid like this over a Haener 10 out of 10 times.

It sounds like his story is this:
-didnt really play much as a sophomore
-had an amazing junior covid season

Biggins bumped him from an unknown to the #34 qb based on his Jr season. Said he could grt another big bump if he continues to impress

The huge improvement from sophomore to junior year is a good sign. The highlights looked good too. He looks like he has a good arm. I don’t hate the pick up at all[/b].

Waiting till he enrolls

You guys might as well hate him now. The dooging iver him is quiet now, but it will get loud this fall.

Dorothy Stratton's grandson?

No man, Ricky's son.

I like this guy but am not a fan of the Asa Turner hair.

Just think of it as the Trevor Lawerence hair

You're not saying he's Lawremce, so I won't twist.

Big mistake for anyone to sleep on this guy. He has a combination of abilities we haven't had at UW in a while as a big QB with an arm AND mobility. He's raw and a late bloomer, but watch out.

Skillset looks good and the 19:1 TD to INT ratio matches the skillset. Good size, strong arm. Not much to complain about and he was a great pull. We were never getting a highly rated QB with a R-Fr starter and a 5 star true freshman as the backup.

Washington, Brown, Columbia, FIU and Nevada. Forget about the low rankings.....with an offer list like that, people that get paid to coach and recruit for a living obviously see the immense potential in this big, rocket armed, mobile QB.

The transition to Doogman 2.0 is complete.

When you get an opportunity to go head to head against a murderer’s row like Brown, Columbia, and FIU, you don’t hesitate, you just do it. Even if you lose, you’re sending a message to the rest of the conference that you're not afraid of mixing it up with the big boys.

Stupid attempt at getting some half brain praise via the low hanging fruit. Watch his highlights. He's a high end QB recruit who they found before he blew up, in a year where reeling in a high end QB was very unlikely.

The overall sentiment isn't completely misplaced. Recruiting is meh at best right now even after the big weekend. The QB just isn't one of the reasons why.

TBF, we got Huard last year, so I doubt any highly ranked QB would jump at the opportunity to sit behind Sam for 2-3 years and transfer out

This is loser mentality thinking. Big dick programs get 4* qbs every year. Especially with the transfer portal the way it is now. I think this kid has the possibility of being a decent get in the same way that Daniel Bridge-Gadd and Jake Haener did but I think is more of our coaches thinking they are smarter than everyone else

Big dick programs do not get 4* QB’s every year. Oklahoma isn’t getting a 4* QB this year after getting the #1 QB last year.

I was looking around and some do (and almost immediately transfer) but with a R-Fr starter and a 5* true freshman it was going to be hard.

Yeah the benefit of taking a 3* QB is that they are more likely to stick around for 4-5 years even if they don't start. Although that hasn't been true for us recently.

Ideally you take a 3* QB in the same class as your 5* so you know they really want to be in the program (Like Mac Jones and Tua).

They still won’t but they have a lot higher chance of staying 3 years and getting a degree before bouncing.
