Jack Yary, 2020 TE, Murrieta, CA

Except Daniels' year as a starter was before they changed to Air Raid, but yeah, go with it.

Different era. Completion percentages were lower back then. Guys who really lit it up in college like Rex Grossman and Joey Harrington’s numbers look pedestrian compared to the good QB’s today. It’s not really valid to compare a QB from 2000 to today by stats. But you can continue to think USC’s QB’s are close to as good as Carson Palmer.

On Yary, Eklund says UW swung him to their side on the visit but he has since been hosed off and is signing with SC

USC has been running on fumes with a Rose Bowl win and a Pac 12 title under Clay but it is inescapable that the recruiting over the last few years is going to plunge them to the middle of the bottom

The next coach is fucked. They will teach this in school on how not to run a program

SC is never fucked

Next coach comes in and sells opportunity, early playing time, and the chance to take SC back to the heights it should be at

The problem with that is a team will never be good pretty much exclusively depending on true freshmen. These shitty recruiting classes definitely will be a set back for a new coach. That said, it’s only really been this year. If you added McCoy and Steele to last year’s class, it’s a highly ranked one.

Didn’t say back in Year 1

Said that a new coach can come in and sell opportunity and playing time

That leads to huge recruiting classes at a place like USC
