Funny story about this game. I was living in Eugene but I was in NYC that weekend visiting my girlfriend at the time who was spending a term out there for school.
Sex > football in 1994
Anyway, I was randomly in the Yankees team store in Manhattan when the score alert and highlight came on their big screen at the back of the store.
A one man mayhem ensued.
When we got back to our hotel I called my brother and roommates in Eugene (who had all been at the game) from a payphone in the lobby to scream at each other like school girls.
Might as well have been 1954 compared to the information super highway we have now.

Canadawg is a bona fide and fairly dedicated fan. I think he just meant to say that the anxiety of Washington winning its next game and not ruining a great run is off the table and you can now enjoy the season one game at a time and take it for what it is … that there is nothing at great risk.This is horrifyingMeanwhile

PS: the breeding comment legitimately outraged @oregonblitzkrieg . In fact, it may have been that comment that got him rolling to a point at which I was able to strike and goad him into making the remark about not needing any more of my kind of people in the country because we are all just low-level blue collar workers with communist tendencies wired into our DNA. I think the breeding part really got under balls. That was the beginning of the end for our Duck friend. He soon thereafter ran off and has not been seen since.
