There's always miracles and I'm sure that we'll be in the mix for him as he starts narrowing it down ...

But even if he does give us an early verbal I wouldn't feel comfortable until he was signed on the dotted line ...

Here's what I would suggest is a very realistic scenario for the optimist:

He looks at Lake's track record and UW's recent success and buys in ...

We get a verbal from him sometime over the summer or during the season after he comes up for a visit ...

Despite giving an early verbal, he talks to Lake/Pete and says that he's not ready to sign on the dotted line at the early signing period after SC beats UW in PAC 12 title game ...

Lake leaves to go somewhere and he ends up following Lake or finally gives into the pressure to go to SC

Gets a shoulder injury freshman year from shitty training methods and being thrown into a bad situation too soon.

Gets a knee injury sophmore year from more shitty training from Ivan the Turrible.

Goes pro after Jr year to get away from Ivan the Turrible and whoever their worthless Db coach is, stock drops in draft board after shitty workout measurements at the combine.

You missed the rest of the story. The kid is insane and would be nuts with our coaching...he'll never hit that level at SC.

And he's the kind of player that will get the most out of being at UW
 
Parents couldn't eliminate a last name why would you expect him to be able to eliminate a school?
 
In an absolute SHOCKER, he does not list us in his latest interview.

Not sure life is worth living if we're not getting a hat on the table.
