The truth is, UW is a better destination than both for 80% of kids because Pete is an elite coach, but also cares about his players.

I think we will end up with a DB group like Kyler Gordon, Josiah Bradley, and Malik Putney during this recruiting cycle.

I saw Rapp blow a lot more coverages last year than JoJo.

Yeah later in the year Rapp was a lot more improved, and while he made big plays, JoJo was more consistent over the course of the year. They both are Sunday players.

IDK, to me it seems that JoJo was making the more crucial mistakes or he was out of position. Freshmen typically do fuck up on their assignment, but it looked like he cleaned it up by the end of the year.

I mean, not really. Sure, on some level it would be nice to hit on guys like that... but the guys we are getting are plenty good. Molden, Keith Taylor, Kent Love and Byron Murphy are all kids that you can win at Natty with.

I don't think it's at all realistic to think we are going to start popping on dumb fuck kids who want attention.

I do think, however, that in the next 2-3 years, we could start to see players on the West Coast who aren't dipshits and are really good start to turn our way...

Guys like: Stephen Carr, Javon McKinley, Devin Asiasi, Wyatt Davis, Jaelan Phillips, Mique Juarez and David Long.

1) Upgrade talent level on the roster ... likely 50% of the roster is full of guys that have no chance at being considered players at an all-conference caliber level needed to win a conference title ... going back to UW lore think of players like Cort Dennison

2) Recruit, Recruit, Recruit ... with each class, the goal is to upgrade the talent (see #1) so that the % of players on your roster that are able to compete at that conference championship level ... when you are at this stage of your development you foster competition and allow the best players to play by earning their spot ... this is also part of changing the culture

3) Redshirting players ... now that you have built a solid level of depth into the program, you can now consider the benefits to redshirting some of your better players in a recruiting class as instead of being able to come in on Day 1 and win the starting job, they are now competing for winning a backup job ... this is a good position to be in for a program
