Is Romar the most Fucktarded coach in the country?

I would have fired Romar at midcourt after the FYAAWRITPADOO loss to Louisville in 2005 and again after the FOUL TO PROTECT A THREE POINT LEAD YOU PIECE OF SHIT! UConn loss in 2006.

He's really bad at it but I don't know why so many coaches don't foul up three in the final 10 seconds of a game. I really don't understand that.

I guess that is to basketball coaches what terrible clock management is to football coaches.

If some dude living in his mother's basement with a boner in his sweatpants can figure it out why can't they?

Most coaches are dumb fucks.

Exhibit A the Steelers Packers game today. On second down, inside the 5, with a minute left, in a tie game, when Green Bay had no timeouts left, the Steelers run the ball to score a touchdown. Green Bay promptly drives down the field and has a shot at the endzone. Why not take two knees and kick a field goal the length of an extra point as time expires? Because Tomlin is a dumb fuck. And he's got a Super Bowl ring.

Most coaches are also pussies. If Romar doesn't tell them to foul it's on the players for not playing good enough defense. If he tells them to foul and the opponent gets off a 3 on the foul it's a bad call by Romar. We know that's not the case in those situations but that's how a lot of people would view it. Romar would rather make his players look bad than risk making himself look bad.

Which he's in the perfect media town to pull off that move as this media/fan base loves to bash on the kids before pointing fingers at the coach.

Hell even Softy still defends the UCONN game saying "It wasn't Romar who let that guy make that open three pointer". Nevermind it was Romar who decided to have Jensen in the game, Joel Smith on the court to turn the ball over/end the season in OT and it was Romar who decided to not foul up 3.

Romar unlike those players I just named has made millions doing his job.

Well, we don't know for sure how much money Jensen made selling womens shoes at Nordstroms.

There are a lot of coaches and GM's in sports that are morons. It's basically a good ol boy network, and like most jobs, a lot of it is about who you know and what sort of connections you have. If you played college sports, you can work your way up to a head coaching job by being an assistant on the right teams. Look at Romar and Sark. They were assistants at great schools, and have basically had their careers made from it. Same thing with the front offices even though that is changing because of advanced metrics and analytics.

Romar's fouled to protect the three point lead quite a few times since then. It took him until like 08 or 09 before he started, but it's pretty much his standard move in that situation now.

This isn't to say Romar's a good in game coach. He still can't coach an in bounds play to save his life.
 
Romar was better when all he did was roll out the balls, and let the players fuck around playing rat ball. Hth

That only works when you have NBA players. Romar has never done shit without NBA players, and even when he has had them, he has underachieved.
