Oregon has no banners to hang.

The only team that has hung a bogus banner is UW.

The Helms Athletic Foundation (Helms fing Bakery) selected Washington as the 1960 National Champion.

Washington waited 47 years (2007) to claim it in a ceremony at Husky Stadium . . . the year before the 0-12 season.

Note:

Helms Bakery went bankrupt in 1969.

The Helms Athletic Foundation stopped naming NCAA football champions in 1982.

Oregon has had two chances to win it in the previous decade and couldn’t get it done.
