I would feel good if we had a better running game. UO's major weakness is stopping the run and if we had a guy like Sankey at tb, I would have hope. Coleman is just too damn slow and Washington has no field vision. Both of those guys are B-minus level running backs at this point and the cascade front isn't that great either. Cyler's passing game isn't going to beat Oregon. I predict at least 1 pic-6 off of one of his bubble screen floaters.

I think our defense will keep us in the game for a half, maybe even 3 quarters but Oregon will run away at the end.

I'm doogin' it up for our defense right now, but I'm not sure our offense is good enough right now to get it done. Basically, what @bananasnblondes said

That's how I felt going into last year right after the Stanford game. We know how THAT turned out.

Agree about the RB's. Saying Miles will throw a pick 6 is bullshit. Every week someone says that and it never happens. His arm is fine.
 
I am not entirely convinced Peterman has shown us everything in his playbook.

It is difficult for me to believe that he doesn't know how big this game is and what it means to momentum of the program.

To someone's point earlier, I felt really good a year ago. The difference is Peterman.

Teams adds new plays and wrinkles every week. It's called game planning. There is no magic Peterman is saving for this week. We are going to continue to do what we have done all season.
 
You aren't alone. But, for the same reason, we'll probably get blown out. Being a fan of the Huskies has taught me that whenever I get my hope up I'm in for disappointment.

So you don't see Miles running more, or Ross and Shaq being a bigger part of the game?

You seem pretty savvy about football, so you know there are certain plays coaches don't run so it can be held back against teams they are targeting.
 
I agree, to win this game we're going to need at the very least two turnovers that can put us in Oregon territory. We kind of excel when we get into the redzone with our quck recievers and that's when our bubble screens actually work. I don't doubt that our defense can hold the Ducks to a few three and outs, but I'm kind of scared of our young secondary getting burned.

i have no fucking idea how this game is going to play out.

nothing much surprises me in Pac 12 play. i know this: being hyped up for the first 10 to 15 minutes ain't gettin' it done (thanks Sark - it was always neat how the guys were pumped up for the first few minutes of the game).

that's where Petermen comes in. if he's having any influence on their mental approach to the game, then that bodes well for UW.

but I still see a little dude brah in these huskies. hope i'm wrong, but I think there's still a little lawnmower left on this team.
