In Throbber’s mind, there’s a differentiation between operations in Iran and operations involving narco terrorist states in the western hemisphere - though clearly Iran funds terrorist activities.
To my way of thinking, Iran is of limited duration with clearly stated objectives. Trump did not run on “no more wars”, he ran on “no more endless wars”. Under no circumstances can Iran have nukes. That is the objective and should be accomplished within a limited period of time. Throbber has established 60 days as his personal point of reassessment.
Between now and then the Persians and neighboring states need to take responsibility for walking on their own. One week isn’t a reasonable time period for a resistance movement to form or logistics to be put in place. 30 to 60 days seems more in line as a tell.
The special ops in Central and South America are an entirely different case. The full might of the US military and US legal system should rain down on the cartels. Their influence and corruption permeates our nation and needs to be eradicated - both within and outside our borders.
This is why we can never allow the Islamists in Iran to have nuclear capacity.
