In related news, yesterday Iowa women's basketball played an outdoors exhibition game vs DePaul in Kinnick Stadium and set the attendance record for a women’s basketball game with an attendance of 55,646, shattering the previous record of 29,000 (UConn-Oklahoma).



Their star player, Caitlyn Clark got a triple-double: 34p, 10r,10a, scoring the second most points in Kinnick Stadium this year.

Now that (we?) are BIG members, we need to call bullshit on Iowa’s insistence on having 3 protected rivalry games (one of which has only existed for 10 years).

They’re the only team with 3, and guaranteed they get the nebraska/Minnesota/Wisconsin slop annually.

There are def going to be some years where Oregon or UW miss out on the BIG ccg because Iowa went 7-2 while avoiding Ohio state/Mich/psu/Oregon/usc/UW

Iowa fucking SUCKS.

Sure their defense is good, but the team overall SUCKS. They might go 11-1 because of the B1G-West and will have an opportunity in the B1G champ game to shock the world and make the playoff.
