Got in the rig to drive home after the game and got some amazing insight from my uncle immediately:
"What do you think of that #1? We haven't had a guy who wears #1 who can play since Warren Moon."
Immediately asked my several people about Odunze. Reggie Williams. Chris Polk. John Ross. Etc.
"Well…he's the last good one I can remember."

you’re a nice guy. I’m an asshole and don’t let stupid comments go without correction.

This isn’t a @WoolleyDoog uncle story but close. It’s Woolley’s dad story.
I sat with @Joey & Woolley at the Utah game in November. I was at the far left of the group and to my right was Joey and then Woolley’s dad who I briefly met at the tailgate.

Deep into the game during a TV timeout, I see Woolley’s dad leaning in my direction and talking about what he’s doing in life, retirement, etc. I think he’s talking to me so I lean in and start nodding but I’m wondering why he’s telling me this after all this time and the 2 of us barely talking.

After 20 seconds, the guy in front of me says “that’s great you doing all those things. I’ve been XYZ.” Only at that point do I realize Woolley’s dad was talking to that guy the whole fucking tim.

Oh no, don’t be embarrassed by it. He’s literally talking to anyone who’ll listen. Trust me.

In one of the greatest Husky football fandom stories of all time, Woolley's uncle was the one complaining after Washington beat #9 Nebraska in Lincoln that Beno Bryant didn't get enough carries.
