The news and in our education system, the teachers, always taught about genocide by Hitler and I remember asking about Stalin and Russian genocide a few times. That part of genocide was rarely discussed.
That was when I started to question much of the history that was being taught. Hitler, for instance, almost wiped out the Gypsy population in his purges but that is also rarely mentioned. Those numbers are just included along with the Jewish numbers I think. Try to have a discussion with anyone and down play the Jewish number and you can face charges. The genocide happened but would be nice to get accurate numbers.
Mention Stalin and his numbers is verboten in Amerika today. We can''t offend the commies, I mean Russians, or is it the professors?

What was City's line where he tried to minimize the number of people killed by the Commies when compared to the Nazis? The commies were "naive utopians" and the Nazis were racist murderers and being killed by a naive utopian is somehow not as bad as being killed by a racist murderer.
