Imagine being dumb enough to believe Jimmy Lake was fired for shoving a player

Yeah, it was Griswold

Wonder if Cohen would shitcan DeBoer (or any coach on his staff) for something so inconsequential?

He's right in a sense, but the loss to Montana coming off a year where you played 4 games in front of no fans crosses a line that even UW can't ignore.

I am afraid that UW is so obsessed with Cal and Stanford that they will sink with them.

Caple or Vorel wrote an article based on texts between Cohen and Cauce and Cohen wasn’t gonna fire him over the pushing/hitting if he was contrite.

Thankfully for us, Jimmy wasn’t contrite.

They weren't going to fire him if he swallowed his pride and started recruiting like an actual college coach. He chose the buyout.

Sports is a necessary componant. They won't sacrafice their reputation.

Academis is important

Why is Musselman considered a bad guy? Too much winning? Married to an African American woman who kept her last name? Not traditional enough for Seattle? Kim is a tiny man and a major league fag.

I don't think he ever thought in a million years they would fire him.

The recruiting was so bad that Anna Marie Cauce was even calling him a limp dick fag recruiter.

Say what you will about her but people spurning the University of Washington doesn't sit well with anyone up there, let alone the school's #1 advocate.

He was more arrogant than I even realized. He thought he could call their bluff. He must've thought it was still the Emmert/Turner era.

That was my big takeaway when he got fired...that nobody anywhere is as bad as they were. I wasn't sure until that moment.

He wouldn't have gotten fired last year if he hadn't hit the kid.

He wouldn't have gotten fired last year if his record didn't suck.

Both are true.
