Imagine being a WA kid and thinking "Nah I wanna just go take a bag in Eugene" after watching this

That shot at 0:22 of Gaskin sitting on the bench after that opening drive TD run in SLC.
Plus the 60+ yarder in the snow to close out the apple cup conference championship.
We haven't had a back with even close to that much attitude.

Conerly comes from an extremely tough background and was living out of his car at times. I believe NIL opened up when he was deciding where to go and Phil Knight offered him the biggest bags. My source told me he wanted to go to Washington until NIL and now with the House settlement, the money would be pretty much equal so the future Conerly would likely go to Washington.
Case in point: an Oregon friend had no answer when I asked, "When the money is equal, why would a recruit go to Oregon over UW? UW has every other advantage from location, education, alumni network, etc etc. etc."
Substance > Style
People are living on fantasy island if they think a court is going to rule that NIL is going to be taken away from the players.
The house settlement allows each school to hand out up to 21m in however they see fit to their athletes.
But whether it's Montlake Futures, We are Penn State, Buckeye Collective, etc those will still be another arm for top players to get money.
If the NCAA didn't have enough stones to not let NIL (remember autographs, and names on jerseys were the original ask…….) be the equal of closing the barn door after the hourse is allready out, they sure as hell aren't going to bring some type of legislation to limit free agency. There's 1000's of trial lawyers that see an easy 9 figure payday in a class action vs. under that scenario.

Like the Seattle kid who just went in the first round after playing at Oregon? How fucking drunk are you on a Tuesday morning to be pimping a fucking HYPE VIDEO as shade on Oregon? JFC. Oregon got 20 fucking Emmy nominations for Ducks Vs Them.
20 Emmy nominations and no natty.
Sad
