I'm wandering around downtown Edmonds right now

No less than four BLM signs up in store windows. Even after they've been exposed for being a Marxist organization grifting money instead of helping people who need help.

Liberal guilt for being racist (they know deep down they are) is cleansed by hanging a poster in the window.

That town has changed significantly over the past 10 years. Some good, some bad, but I spent a lot of time there for several years as my go-to social area. Used to dream of living near downtown before that became unattainable. Now, even if I could afford to live there, I have no desire to.

In many ways it is starting to feel like a Bellevue-by-the-Sea, which is too bad.

From 2000-2007, I lived on 5th Street, in an awesome, remodeled, top-floor studio apartment with a private large balcony view of the water. $700 month. I absolutely loved it. There was nothing cookie cutter about the town. Nice places juxtaposed with blue collar places. Older homes that had been maintained well. Lots of nooks and crannies throughout downtown. Some good places to eat. Interesting people. Air was always fresh and clean. The trains that go by every thirty minutes. I always thought if I got really wealthy I'd love to get a townhome on the nearby bluff overlooking the water.

If I could these days I still might. I'm happy where I'm at right now. But Edmonds is appealing. But all the glossy neon and that Bellevue quality that has cropped everywhere and has changed the feel of the place.

I don't know if it is specifically that, but it is nauseating virtue signaling for sure.

Yep, too much money there now. It's a yuppie town. The Rory's and Taki Tiki crowd are being pushed out by the $15 cocktail joints.

The important thing -

Were you wearing a mask?

Just got back from running the dogs at the middle school. Two Asian teenagers were playing tennis (with no one else around) and were fully masked up. I wanted to yell WTF at them, but didn't want to be turned in for a hate crime.

Asians have been wearing masks for years. It’s quite common really.

Lots of Japanese and Chinese in our neighborhood all at least second generation and never saw a mask, let alone while playing a sport. Things are really phucked up and there are plenty of people who will remain phucked up for the rest of their lives. Don't really care, but that type of mentality leads them to demand everyone be equally phucked up.

You sound awfully concerned with how they choose to live their lives.

I prefer people to live healthy lives. Hiding in your basement or wearing masks outside isn't healthy, physically or mentally. We were forced into lockdowns and masks and vaccines because of mentally unstable people like you and people who are still wearing masks while playing outside and 26 yards apart. These people were/are awfully concerned about how I choose to live my life. You suck at this.

Like I said you suck at this. You and the people you vote for are why we were locked down, masked up and forced vaccinated with the resulting destruction of hundreds of thousand small businesses and the unemployment of 20+ million Americans. Toss in a lost year and a half of school because of the teacher unions. Now on Tuesday, your dementia patient will claim victory because the science hasn't changed.
