I'm sure (almost) of one thing

Baseman

New Fish
No matter how the realignment shakes out, when the music stops, UW will be left standing, with its dick[/s], vag[/s] parts in hand.

Her comments will include something along the lines of "We're more concerned about OUR student athletes and that's what we will focus on. We have an amazing tradition and a great fan base that will always support our student athletes."

I for one will turn to my wife at that point.

Before 2019 everyone here loved her.

A bad Hopkins streak and now everyone hates her.

El oh el.

I hated the hire

Then changed my mind and liked it

Now I just hate myself

I was nervous when we hired her, having flashbacks to Hedges and not thrilled about it being an internal hire. Then with the Petersen and Hop doing well, she got a raise/extension (which was deserved IMO), I thought, “hey, I was wrong…hooray!”

But then Petersen quit and the wheels came off the basketball program. Hop is still around (why?) and the early returns on Lake as a HC are not promising. Those things, while upsetting, I can kinda understand, but the utter tone deafness with the “All In” fundraising campaign, and “good luck rep’ing the North” while #scoduck #wareagle lady managed our social media tells me maybe my first instincts on her were correct. I’m hoping she can right the ship, but I’m not optimistic.

I think her biggest accomplishment to this point is stealing Stanford's women's rowing coach who turned around and won a natty for us.

Rowing matters to UW, like a lot, but the next 50 years of college athletics are going to be determined in the next 50 days, and we're in a weaker position that we should be because of her negligence towards football and overall athletic positioning during her tenure, and she doesn't have the vision or attitude required to navigate what's coming.

I think the future of college athletics has already been written…realignment is just shuffling chairs on the deck of the Titanic[/s] NCAA.

We all know who is getting a life boat.

Realignment is making sure Texas and Oklahoma are included in whatever semi-pro league the SEC will regulate. The NCAA may be dead, and conferences will be around to regulate themselves.

If the ACC and SEC form their own league, I'm guessing the B1G and Pac-12 will look to form the other.

Yeah, I was referring to the “have nots” - take West Virginia for example. NGAF, except their fans, where they go. Like I said, Texas and Oklahoma are grabbing the last few life boats…while UW will be clinging to a piece of driftwood telling Jack how they’re not going to let go,

This website is ridiculous.

UW is a top 20 program by all metrics. It brings a massive media market, history of success, big fanbase, legit stadium etc.

There is not a world that exists where UW gets fucked out of a "superconference" merger.

Too much money is at stake for the University, which has shown a commitment to improving the program since the Ty Willingham cratering.

A lot of poasters have the perception that UW is a top 10 blueblood from an expectations perspective, while on the other hand treating UW like the KSU, okie lites, and WVUs of the world when it comes to realignment.

Yall need to get your shit together, grab the significant other, and take a walk on the beach

This. We are NOT a Top 10 blue blood. Never have been. We ARE a legit top 20 program rather easily. No other program west of Austin could put 65,000 to 69,000 in Husky Stadium after Owen 12.

We will be in the shitty, second-tier "superconference."

I don’t have a beach or a significant other, so get out of here with your perspective privilege!

A pac 12 b1g merger would be a 1b at worst

Maybe Nebraska

Jesus I hate these,

but the hypothetical BoneG/Pac12 conference in the west/rust belt, SEC/ACC in the east/se as someone mentioned, would be ideal for college football in that you can make whatever dumb shit playoff system with X teams needed to keep Stephen A Smith's contract going, the fans would love it as it keeps the regions intact, you probably keep all the bowls people care about as venues, etc etc...

ESPN wanting SC, Oregon, Ohio State, and Michigan to join the SEC and make a 18 team super conference isn't going to cut it, and they know this. You lose way too many large markets. There's no other show in town on a crisp fall Saturday morning waking up hung over getting your blood mary in gear. They know they're leaving too much money on the table.

ESPN probably owns the Eastern Conference, Fox the West/Rust Belt conference. Pretty easy.

That's my reaction as well. 1b is actually just fine. King of the midgets is not a problem.
