Most years I tune out during the offseason and enjoy an 8-month break from thinking about the perennial Husky football dreckfest. But during the season, I make a point to watch every game, usually from some shitty justin.tv stream since I'm out-of-state. Now that football season is upon us, I decide to take a look at the OOC schedule, since I haven't thought about it since last year and I want to see who Poolboy signed up for this year.

Most of you hardcore fans already know what I'm about to tell you, but I am your average casual fan. So I look and I see two MWC and one Big Sky.

WHAT THE FUCK

SACARAMENTO STATE???

Am I reading this right? Is that seriously the schedule for this year? Is this the worst OOC we have ever had?
 
No. The year the Sark team won 9 games was worse.

Sacramento State plays a Pac team almost every year. They are the Pacific or San Jose St. of yesteryear.

That being said, it is a shitty OOC schedule

But Boise State is a premier matchup. Perennially ranked. Better than most power 5 teams. ABC scheduling, everyone is doing it. The pac-12 is just so grueling. &c.

I would say MWC-B1G-Big Sky > MWC-MWC-Big Sky. Granted the B1G was Illinois, but it was at Soldier Field and Dick Butkus was roaming the sidelines.

Last year was even worse than 2013.
 
2013: Boise State, Illinois, Idaho State

2014: Hawaii, Eastern Washington, Illinois, Georgia State

2015: Boise State, Utah State, Sacramento State

And Pool Boy wants fashion shows to bring in more fans. Fuck.

While I see your point. This methodology isn't the best. Under this methodology, northern Illinois = Stanford. That being said, I prefer an ABC scheduling of OOC, rather than our ADD this year. Either way, it's clear that's what most teams are doing and the SEC has been successful with shit OOC scheduling.

The returning National Champion Ohio St Buckeyes play 4 non-conference opponents in Virginia Tech, Hawaii, Northern Illinois and Western Michigan this year. These 4 teams finished last season 7-6, 4-9, 11-3, and 8-5 for a combined 30-23 record.

That is terrible methodology.

UW could play three high end FCS schools and have the toughest schedule in the nation by far using that methodology.

I'd say you are better than this but I know better than that.
 
Boise and Utah St are fine games this year ... Need to get back to scheduling strong home and homes though
