60's and 70's
I'm just trying to get Neil a win here after the Rod Stewart debacle
"Cuntry" Rock is such a messy genre. Most of your above artists are southern rockers who has a lot of country flavor. Neil wasn't all country-rock but did country rock as good as anyone. Neil got fucked by the idiots here and should have been in the Elite 8 or Final 4 for fuck's sake.
Best true country-rockers IMHO...
Late 60's Byrds
Flying Burrito Brothers
The Band
New Riders of the Purple Sage
1970 Grateful Dead
Gram Parsons (solo)
Sir Douglas Quintet

Bunch of CCR haters up in this bitch
This is a perfect analogy. Brief but hugely successful careers. CCR banged out 5 killer albums in under 2 years.CCR is the Gayle Sayers of rock
As a kid in the 60's on a family vacation to Disneyland we spent the night in Lodi
I'm just trying to get Neil a win here after the Rod Stewart debacle
I'm trying to figure out how a solo act is considered a band.....
And Rod totally deserved the win.
