Many posters have reported issues trying to log in.

Posters have reported that if they clear their cache and open with a new tab, they have had success logging back in.

Others have reported that this hasn't worked. If you send me an email at derek98072@gmail.com and tell me your handle I can manually set up a new password for you and this has helped several posters log back in. I will check the email you contact me with what is shown in the database, unless I have personal familiarity with you already.

Thank you

Thanks for the login/password help, Stalin.

I like the darker background of this board better - easier on the eyes, long term. Keep it dark or somewhat dark purple.
I like this layout better as well.
This board seems better.
The font size could be increased a bit tho.

Yes I talked to my IT guy about increasing font size but to do that would involve many hours and expense. Personally, I increased the screen size one notch and that helps

Your "IT guy" is bilking you. This type of change is less than trivial and taught day 1 to CS people. It's why CSS exists and what it's for. It's like saying they can't change the RGB of the background or the font itself. Here's me editing the font size from my web client: It's changing a number. I'd love to hear your "IT guy"'s response.

"Bilking" implies deceit, and I don't appreciate the accusation. I've worked with forum/cms platforms, Linux and software development since the 1990s and built/supported hundreds of Xenforo communities, including client referrals from Xenforo staff.

Yes, changing a single font size in CSS can be trivial. However, a 1:1 typography match from Vanilla to Xenforo isn't "change a number". The non-trivial part is matching the Vanilla platform's many page types and each type's varying element level font sizes to Xenforo's style system properties in a 1:1 way. That means mapping dozens of individual element font sizes to the correspond style property setting in Xenforo (there are hundreds to go through). Then validating the results as each change is made.

To protect the client's budget, I took a pragmatic approach by adjusting global font sizes and font face to improve readability without the greater number of hours required for 1 to 1 parity everywhere.

This is so freaking funny to me after years of people screaming into the void about Vanilla we get the new site and someone showing up and standing on business immediately

Stay!
