Anyone that says King County elections are secure are either stupid or corrupt. I get three extra ballots every cycle for former owners. I sign mine with a signature that is totally different each time. They get counted every time with no issue.

Correct. But the point is that I could sign them and it would get counted. They aren’t testing signatures like they say they are doing.

Both my wife and I have had to verify our signatures. Given that it would not be difficult to determine whether these ballots of former occupants are being voted, and Republicans would kill for proof that that’s happening, why haven’t we seen that? The incentives for finding that evidence—if it existed—are enormous.

They “audited” your signatures because they know you and can say they checked some.

Meanwhile, I was checked every election from 2006 until I moved by Multnomah County as a registered GOP and finally just stopped showing up to verify it.

It’s not nearly that difficult. You can track whether a registered voter’s ballot has been cast online. It would not be difficult to find multiple instances of this fraud with a little effort, if it’s happened. And again, the incentives are huge.

From the Go Figure files. Perhaps Seattle and Portland could clean up their mass transit system to make it more attractive to actual fare payers. More revenue, less vandalism and less crime.
