If you have $20 million laying around

I did not know the buying of players had gotten that bad ($20 million) so he has a point, but it's better noted behind the scenes.
But damn, $20 million?!? That's almost $1 million for each starter.
You seem to not pay attention to anything.

Every Monday Press Conf loss seems to be Jedd litigating why it happened and how it wasn't his fault using his lawyer degree.
The 20 million dollar comment (which is true) is something you don't bring out in open, especially 7 games into your tenure.
NIL had nothing to do with getting your shit pushed up and down the field by IOWA

UW will surely be greased up and Oregon isn't THAT good. Even if it's only a 20% chance or whatever, stranger things have happened.

I’m definitely not fully team Jedd, he sucks until he doesn’t after all. But, I think people are getting a little worked up about these quotes. I don’t read the 20 million dollar thing as an excuse, more at just musing at what that looks like. If we’re being generous we’ll say it’s aspirational.

And of course this team has stuff that needs to be worked on halfway through the year, he’s been the coach for like 8 months and the whole roster was taken out like it was hezbollahs leadership. He might actually need more tim.

He went on to say that the new rules will level the field. So he's a socialist.
I kid
He's just a pussy. Ohio State and Oregon aren't going to care about rules and neither should Washington
Shut up and win

I agree, but this bored is still better when you guysm hate the coach.
the script says Jedd will get his guys in there and then leave for Florida after signing day.

That's how I feel. While he / staff are very good recruiters, the jury is still out on him as a game day coach.
I agree about his aspirational angle and it was meant for the local audience. It's not like he just played one of those $20 million rosters and then is saying he lost because he doesn't have a $20 million roster.
But we can still mourn what college football used to be before Phil Knight (and Les Wexner, big Ohio State booster) started ruining it.

we? didn’t spend anywhere near that much, and neither did Ohio State.
not saying it won’t be like that in the future, but not even close at the moment.
What is the number then? $15 million?
no idea. The $20 million number comes from a number the Nebraska AD and former Doog threw out while not being classy and complaining about his own NIL.
Ohio State did, in fact, spend $20M on its roster this year according to their AD.

$20 million roster? Here’s how Ohio State and its collectives built the 2024 Buckeyes

Did you fact check with anonymous fans on message boards if that's accurate though? I generally find them to be the experts.
$20 million some ways doesn't even seem like that much though? For 85 scholarship guys that's $235k per-player and that starts dropping as you factor in paying a QB a big chunk of that add in star RB and aren't you paying the big time recruits in your recruiting class in a given year, the guys you're buying out of the portal, and the guys you have to pay who are already on your team?

With incentives, I think Ryan Day makes close to $10 million per year. I'm not a big fan of how things currently are, but with that in mind, the guys that actually put their bodies on the line divvying up $20 million doesn't seem as outlandish.

fuck Vanilla and its 272736363 characters too long body sideways.
This isn’t the place to write a novel. However, if you need help writing your book, I know an author who specializes in Husky lore and gay romances (depending on your interests). Reach out for more info.

How much are we paying highschool players?

NCAA screwed up. 5 years ago they should have said nah this is amateur football if you want to be payed go to the NFL (or a G league) out of HS otherwise sign up for 4 years with this scholarship. No one cares about the 200 players demanding NIL. It's the colours and the fans that make cfb good
