I think a defensive difference-maker has more of an impact than an offensive one. Just my opinion. Therefore, instead of Corey Dillon, I'm going with Stan Emptermann.
Nobody disrupted another team's game plan like he did. Elevated the play of the whole defense with his presence. He fucking wrecked teams. With him on the defense, the load on the offense was decreased by a huge margin.
I started watching and following the Huskies around 1976 or 77, and I don't remember another player that affected other teams like he did, regardless what side of the ball they played on.
So it's Stan for me.
