Here’s my criteria on this. I’m not bringing back Tom Petty or Prince or anyone else who decades of success. I’m bringing somebody like Hendrix, Cobain or Staley. Singers we got a glimpse of.

I upvoted GRUNDLE for posting a gif of Amy Winehouse for this reason.

Stevie was just about to really take off, IMO…Jimi second, would have loved to hear him bear down on the blues/soul/funk.

Buddy Holly

Hendrix I suppose.

There are a fair number of names where I can't really justify one over the other. But someone like Staley wouldn't have been the same artist minus the drugs, and for him to be alive there needed to be no drugs. It's a catch 22 or quandary or something along those lines.

Jimi might have benefited from drugs as an artist too, but I don't feel he needed them to be who he was. Maybe drug free he would've been more of a pure blues guy, which would've been pretty boring

Precisely. Weº got one amazing (not counting Frank) from Amy, then out. Needed more.

Saw the Stones in the Kingdome in '97 and The WHO at the Gorge in 2001.

Would have been cool to see The Beatles reunion tour at the Kingdome in '96. George's broke ass would have talked John and Paul into one reunion tour.

Patsy Cline, Bob Marley, and as @BleachedAnusDawg entered Beethoven - all the classics from that era - if they had to listen to present era music I am sure they would be pleased

can't name one obviously

Marley is a great choice.

I never knew he had money problems late in life ??
