The only place Oregon should look is down in Berkeley (DeRuyter). Proven DC with a Leavitt-like track record of results (sans the player assault) and Cal's defense was really good this year, especially considering the minimal talent left by Dykes.
If Oregon promotes internally with someone who's never been DC before, the program is officially dead because it shows they haven't learned shit from the Helfrich/Pellum debacles. Go find someone who has proven they can do the job, not your buddy who might be able to do the job.
