I think the problem here remains that he'd be handing the reigns over to a guy who was demoted from OC by San Jose State. Dougherty hasn't called plays since 2014. Maybe he's a lot better now, but it's a huge risk.
 
I’d probably prefer one step before “fuck no”. Like “no, unless he hires a known commodity to call plays. But still almost certainly no.”
 
It's not about humility it's about being a great CEO
Which he isn't because he doesn't even know he has a problem let alone how to fix it
 
If he brings in Jonathan Smith to call plays and be OC while moving into more of a CEO role I might LIPO.
But he still acts like he was right on 4th and 1 speed option to the short side. That attitude is everything about him. Coaches need confidence boarding on arrogance (smoke week talk shit) but there is a limit which Judd is way past into delusion.
 
I would be pretty stoked if he hired an ex head coach that was an offense minded guru, ala Walters on the defense side. We know Judd can recruit and knows what it takes to win, he just needs to get out of his own way

Rick is a weird one because he beat legendary 8-4 Purdue, and Miami, and popped off
Then immediately put a team out there worse than Sark.
The drop off is the difference, but yes that year 2 was nice.
Choked away a natty chance, but still.
