This is really the key. It's why I had my wife stay home. I'm not saying that's the only or even preferred way; so nobody twist. But the nature of my profession was, early on, intense and demanded a lot of focus and ridicruous hours. Our view was, somebody has to have time for them, and we agreed that would be Mrs. Creep. I never missed their activities and I was there to establish and reinforce the big rules ... I was the big stick (lolz). She was the every day and the moment to moment. I made enough money that we could do this, so again, don't twist. I get it. But we also sacrificed. We didn't live on MI or Queen Anne in those days. I want my kids to grow up tuff and be good at a sport. I want them to be well rounded too and do something like excel at classical piano or guitar. But most importantly I want them to not be dicks. Don’t need pronoun course at age 5 to achieve this.

This is really the key. It's why I had my wife stay home. I'm not saying that's the only or even preferred way; so nobody twist. But the nature of my profession was, early on, intense and demanded a lot of focus and ridicruous hours. Our view was, somebody has to have time for them, and we agreed that would be Mrs. Creep. I never missed their activities and I was there to establish and reinforce the big rules ... I was the big stick (lolz). She was the every day and the moment to moment. I made enough money that we could do this, so again, don't twist. I get it. But we also sacrificed. We didn't live on MI or Queen Anne in those days. We went norf to the burbs, I place in which I've never belonged. So whatever.

Somebody has to have time for them. They don't, contrary to popular belief, raise themselves. That almost never turns out well.
