If you're into outdoors stuff there's a lot of it close.

The whole west coast plus anyplace in the Rockies you may want to get to, are within reasonable driving distance.

It's pretty cold out there in the winter.

My 24 y/o has been in Boise for 2+ years now. He likes it. He's a dumb 24 year old though.
