But I don't want ground troops and would prefer we leave Tehran and targeting of the higher ups to Israel

Just the tip is still rape in the eyes of the crazy Iranians. They will make it hard on us with unconventional warfare in the gulf and probably some sleeper cells in the US if we do that. They may do that anyways.
