Bull shit Jen. This was external pressure and you know it, and we know it, and you know that we know that you know it.

She does not fire[/b] him but for the external pressure that came from hitting the kid in the face mask. I've seen the clip again, and honestly, there is no denying he struck him in the face, probably with the palm of his hand. Woody Hayes isn't walking through that door any tim soon. The days of being able to grab a kid by the face mask, shake his head around and scream "are you fucking stupid?!?!?!," which the Bobcat coaches did frequently, are over.

From what I've been hearing, twist if you want, the "we want to win" crowd isn't the crowd that leaned on her. It was the "he's embarrassing the university" crowd. Maybe they are one in the same at the end of the day, albeit for different reasons. I know one thing: nobody would GAF about it if he were winning. But there is a crowd out there that would. Either way, he was done last week.

Edwards is a shit show, but that sleeping giant is Terri Schiavo. Dorrell is a fucking joke. Kelly hasn't taken his asperger's medication in half a decade, yet a UCLA program with arguably the best combo of tradition, location and academis prowess in the nation doesn't have the balls to cut ties and aim higher. Uncle Phil cares about football but sat there while slingblade ran through is rolodex of retards at DC. UW did the needful earlier than about 95% of other programs in the nation, including Oregon, have ever done. Congrats, you're not dead.

Yeah I think that comment hasn't gotten enough credit in this whole thing. Obviously the Ruperake thing was all the PWOOF UW needed to move on but I think the academically prowess garbage had upper campus on edge and made it much easier to move quickly when he started getting violent.

I love @dtd's post about us caring but I really think Jimmy completed a perfect storm of self destruction that did the needful for us.

If this was just about on the field stuff we're still screaming he needs to go for another year.

As much as people hate on the awful Jon Don hire, in normal circumstances Jimmy would have been given a chance to rectify if.

Helf hired pellum at dc…was given one chance to rectify it (“get this next hire right or you’re out”)….and ended up hiring a guy who hadn’t been a DC in 20 years

I think the Donovan stuff was enough he was going to get fired next year unless he hired a top shelf OC the second time around which feels really unlikely.

Me too. Jimmy doused himself with gas with the prowess comment, then went to buy a lighter with the punt on 4th down and then lit himself on fire when he lost his shit on the sidelines. As I said, she did what she had to do or she was DAO herself.

As to the comment, a man needs to know his limitations. Steve Superior said shit way better than that 3 or 4 times a season. He was legendary and went way out there with the smack, and he wasn't just shooting barbs at Mario Crisco, but rather at legendary coaches like Booby. But, Superior was a winner. He was the good looking QB who had the hottest gf and still did yours on the side for good measure. Won a Heisman and kicked your ass on the golf course too. And, he was good at the smack ... an artist if you will. The Auburn library coloring books is an all-timer.

Lake went to Eastern, I have no idea who he was as a player, was a mediocre DC and terrible HC, and fumbled the smack talk while preparing his team to lose to Oregon again. His greatest accomplishment ever was recruiting and developing a nice group of DBs and driving his boat without spilling his foo foo coffee drink. Good on him for all that, but it's not the platform you need to be Steve Superior.
