And I hated watching 2000 UW too

3 point win over a 3-8 CU
6 point win over a 6-6 ASU
12 point win over a 3-8 Cal
3 point win over a 5-6 Stanford
3 point win over a 5-6 Arizona
7 point win over 6-6 UCLA

Disagree. I loved watching Tui’s comeback wins. This team should be much better and showed it for a few flashes and steps on its dick over and over and over. So many times to put games away but go 3 and out or turn it over instead. How many TOs do we have in the red zone now?

And I don’t recall any significant expectations going into 2000

Like I said I hate watching this team.

I also hate having to come from behind against shitty teams.

Last night felt like a repeat of the Arizona game.

I never really felt threatened by Zona though, we had that game under control for the most part. I remember just being more annoyed than anything. Looking back, this win really was a decent one compared to most that we have.

These last 2 weeks have had me pissed throughout the entirety of both games.

It’s 4:30am here and I slept 3 hours after a that shitty win. I want and need a blowout win where I can go to sleep feeling good about the game unlike the shit the last 2 weeks.

2000 was ranked top 20 preseason and was favored to win the conference.

These moral losses are killing me too but we’ve had 2 score leads in all games except ASU. It would be nice if we would do something when we have the chance to put the game away.

This team has a largely one dimensional offense, patty cake lines, and a defense that can't tackle for shit. They somewhat remind me of the 1998 fighting Bob Toledo's at UCLA, except DeShaun Foster.

The 2000 Huskies had a lot of nasty in them (thanks Lambo), they could be physically dominant, even beat one of the most talented college football teams of all time. That is NOT this team. This team has a gunslinger and some very talented wide receivers. When there is pass protection, they are a legitimate threat to pull off a string of big plays and in general they don't quit, good traits. But they're not going to intimidate, physically dominate, grind out the clock, or work over any semi worthy opponent. A team like Alabama or Georgia would likely kick their nuts in. Edit: Even Oregon might kick their nuts in if they play again.

Georgia would obviously kick our nuts in, but Alabama is a retarded inbred version of their former selves.

Being Pat Hill TUFF is overrated - see Utah.

Disagree on Alabama NOT kicking our? nuts in. Not Pat Hill TUFF, they are physical and appear to be gelling, they would give this Husky sqwad fits.

I’m in let it play out mode on which team I hate more. 2000 may have had more nasty on the lines but they had a shit ton of nail biters against shit to mediocre teams. If 2023 can’t win the Pac then we’ll have our answer.

Alabama would out-athlete UW, rather easily.

I think any truly physical team is going to kick our nuts in. Do not think that they will at this point, but I think UW gets embarrassed if they made the playoffs.

We couldn't handle ASU's DLine for fucks sake.

Agree. But messiah QBs can make things interesting.

Well I love this team, it’s been amazing to watch… but if we are honest, they started the year with a team that we all thought was going to have an improved defense but was clearly going to have to outscore every team we faced, have a gunslinger QB that until the 2nd half of the Oregon game was throwing perfect dimes 80 percent of the time, had 2 pro receivers that in fact turned into 3 with yet another younger player that stepped up Bigly, and a below average running game that required the long ball to establish and maintain vs any opponent not named Portland State.

What has happened since is a slew of injuries to key players with no real depth behind them, including our QB who has continued to play anyway. Everyone on the team, the coaching staff, the teams we are facing and our fans can see the impossible issues with this team and yet they have continued to find a way to believe they can and will win. Its been impressive to watch PAC 12 teams with no pulse come alive with the hope of knocking off the top ranked dawgs and then continue to terrorize the rest of the teams they face in the aftermath of playing the Dawgs.

In the great tradition, as Sammi Sosa said ‘keep it to continue’. Tightrope watching has always been a bitch to watch.

Maybe this team is ‘97 incarnate. Tons of talent, banged up physically. They’ll finally be healthy for the bowl game and destroy a middling opponent.

What's funny is that every team that plays UW "gets right" afterward.

Since playing UW, Arizona has taken USC to double-OT, destroyed ranked Coug, and beaten top-10 Beavis.

Since playing UW, Oregon has outscored two ranked opponents 73-30, including giving the raw plunger to #13 Utah.

Since playing UW, ASU got their first FBS win against the Coug. Rather easily.

Poor WSU keeps being the victim of the UW bump. Watch Stanford run train on them next Saturday.

We(?)'re like that not-very-physical team on everyone's schedule that they think of as a bye, only that weirdly beats them anyway.
