I don't know if this has the most, but nothing has ever had more funk than this.

It's impossible to come up with "most" when it comes to funk. It is all fantastic. Even white people can't sit still when funk is playing.

Remember watching this on TV. His rhythm and notes had Miles Davis paying attention.

This is definitely the most funk ever in a recording of that era

Another incredible Muscle Shoals recording. I'm not hearing funk in that though. To me it's more MoTown Sound with a splash of Mariachi brass.

Toungue in cheek poast on my part. Yes, great song but not very funky.

Ok so I just poured a cup of extra burnt Sbux French Roast and put on Side 1 of my OG press of "Still Bill". This is a strong contender for most funk. It's the percussion and Bill's cultural appropriation of white people folky acoustic guitar made funky that make the track.

I'm trying to tell you. They are in a fucking funk trance in this bitch. That's Ray Parker Jr (of Ghostbusters fame) on guitar there and he looks like the funk possesses him.

Stevie at his top was fucking insane. He is at the top level of funk zen. He starts singing sesame street lyrics while simultaneously funking the living shit out of that Clavinet.

Kid at the top of the stairs understands the important things in life.

Some of these bands at that point... holy fuck.

This shit is fucking unreal...

Also, this is not funk per se... but it's a spiritual plane only Stevie at his height could reach. A fucking Carpenters song and then a Jackson 5 song and David Frost is sitting there @ 2:28 like 'I'm seeing God'.
